I would quickly say machines of course they are not devious and dishonest like some humans.
If that is so how come I check my cash when i get it from an ATM a lot closer than if I get it from a teller?
Would you prefer a surgeon perform life threatening surgery on you or would you prefer to have a well tuned machine with an amazing success record do it?
    Is this a new idea for a thread?:bag: :p

Depends on the person, the machine, and the circumstances.

I would trust a machine more to do financial transactions.

I would not trust a machine to do medical procedures.

I would not trust a robot hooker.

Well, machines are programmed by humans, so if you cant trust man how could you trust machine?

    This should have a poll.

I trust machines more, but I hate automated call answering systems.

My truck has a manual transmission because I don't like robots shifting my truck. I mean...would you trust this?

I trust that the smartphone I am using will not secretly transmit embarrassing or sensitive private details about me when posting silly replies to threads.

Not for long. Very soon, machines will be designing, building, and programming the next generation of machines. It's starting to happen already, as a lot of things are simply too complex for humans to do.

Also, a human can write a program that is more competent at its task than the person that wrote the program. A simple example - I can write a program to sort a million numbers, and it would get the right answer every time. I wouldn't trust myself to do that.

When self-driving cars start coming out in a few years, we will see accident rates plummet. Machines rule, humans drool.

^ I'd totally get a dog if I could get a robot that'd walk it and pick up its poo!

In that book the dog is the master in a post-human world. Pretty cool read.

There's a Seinfeld bit where talks about aliens observing the earth and sees somebody walking a dog. The dog poops then the human picks it up and carries is for him. The aliens would have to assume that dogs are in charge! :p

Exactly why I don't own a dog. I love them but I refuse to pick up someone else's droppings.

I trust animals more than humans. At least you know what to expect from them. If they're wild, probably nothing good, if they're your pets, they won't stop loving you (unless you'r a total ******* to them in which case...hmm....die)
