Hey guys, so I got a new envelope filter in the mail today and I'm having problems with it. Originally I had it in the effects loop of my bass and I was basically getting the "dying battery" sound out of it where it would work and then just fizz out to nothing. I took the pedal out of my chain and tightened all of the pots and the jacks on it. Moved it to just after my compressor in front of my amp and the sound was better, but it was still cutting out. Has anyone ever had this happen with an envelope filter before, and if so how did you fix it? I'm also using an active bass if that helps, maybe the pickups are overloading the front of it but I feel like the pedal was made with that in mind

I would try putting first in your chain. Also the 440 doesn't like a hot output so trying turning down your bass.

IMO, 440's don't work well in an effects loop. I think that it should be first in your chain and put the comp afterwards.

Does the pedal work properly by itself with nothing else connected?
