I was looking for the old Boss BF2-B but they seemed a little pricey when I did find them on Ebay. I picked up the DOD FX-72 on Ebay last week for $15 and finally had a chance to use it at a gig. Very nice pedal ... I was suprised because these things are fairly cheap when found (unlike the Boss). I was also suprised to see it came with the original box, paperwork and the battery cover wasn't missing or broken!

I've never tried the old Boss BF2B bass flanger but this thing definately is a much better option than the BF2/BF3. I didnt notice any drop in low end at all ... probably because it was made for bass.

So...consider this as a flanger option if you can't find a used BF2-B and dont want to spend the 70 bucks for it.

  2. Billy Gould got a killer tone on "the Real Thing" with that Flanger..

  3. That was my first bass pedal. I bought in @1988. ;)
