Does a selectable limiter do anything at low volumes?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Rman12321, Aug 10, 2012.

  1. I have a traynor db400h bass head and it has a limiter button on it, and with the gain at half and master volume at like 2, I can't seem to hear a difference between on and off. Is that normal?

If your input signal is below the threshold of the limiter, the output will not be changed. So if you are playing at a low level that is below the threshold, the limiter basically doesn't kick in.
