Hi guys. I've never played a Warwick before and Im getting my fourth bass in a month's time. I've heard people describing Warwick necks as "baseball bats" or "2 by 4s"...I'm not really fond of chunky necks and is this the case for all models of Warwicks?

The older ones don't tend to have deep necks (but they do vary quite a bit being handmade). My '87 Streamer has a fairly narrow neck which is extremely slim from front to back.

All the ones I've been able to try in shops have - thats about 20-30 different ones - I have still to find a Warwick with a comfortable neck!!

Love the sound - hate the necks!!

i haven't tried on yet, but i've heard that the jack bruce sig thumb 4 stringers have a slim neck profile. well, slimmer than normal...and the really old (80's) warwicks have really nice necks.

I used to own a Masterman and the neck was really small on that model... Similar to a Jazz Bass...
