I do, and it scares the crap out of me.

Apparently my mom comes in my room at night when I am talking (Which is almost everynight, she says) and she has a conversation with me. I even tell her things I do not really want her to know. She doesn't use them to black mail me into doing things, but I think she would if she got pissed of enough. She will not even tell me what type of things I tell her.

When I walk, I do some crazy stuff... here is a list:

    Pissed on hard-shell bass case
Ran into my sisters room yelling the British are coming
I opened the door, locked it, stepped outside, shut it, and walked across the street to my grandma's house.
Was about to piss in the corner of the hall way
Rolling around on my floor screaming "I hate explosions"

Those are just the ones I have been told about. I have probably done a lot more.

My mom was supposed to take me to a sleep specialist back in October, but of course she has not. I guess she really likes hearing what I have to say.

Doing this stuff really scares me. In my room, I have a KABAR WWII Fighting Knife that has a 6-7" blade, and a Smith&Wesson boot knife that is 6-7" long, and a .22 rifle. I really do not want to go crazy one night and hurt someone or myself.

Has anyone else had the same problem and did you ever get over it?

My advice is to tell someone to hide those weapons from you.

And see the sleep doctor NOW!

My little brother occasionally will say a few words in his sleep but its never more than 10 seconds worth. My cousin sleepwalks, or at least he used to.

  3. I sleep-talk a whooooole lot, and sleep-walking has been known.

my mom says that i got up, made my bed, undid my bed, and went back to sleep

  6. I've heard from reliable sources (my girlfriend of 12 years and various room mates) that I have a grand old time while I sleep- laughing, talking, grinding my teeth, moving about. One time I woke up in the middle of the living room, fully dressed, with my bass in my gigbag over my shoulder. I remember dreaming my drummer called to say he was coming to pick me up for practice, but have no memory of getting up, getting dressed and storing my gear. If it wasn't so funny, it'd probably be a little spooky.
  7. Dude once I read down to the second one it was nothing but laughter. I mainly just curse in my sleep.

My friends dad had sleep walking problems. One night he was brought home by the police seen stuffing his pillow in the sewer. His wife told me ^^

I've been told that I mumble a bit in my sleep.
Also, I will apparently - how do I say this.. initiate romantic acts with a bedmate. I'll wake up and be fully in the act, and when I ask later what got her going in the middle of the night she'll invariable say that it was all me ...that I woke her up and got her going... and I'll have no recollection of any such thing. Weird.

    yeah, I probably have slept-talked(slept-talked? ;)

My brother's have a slight history of mumbling a litle in their sleep, so I'm sure I do to.

Supposedley when I snore(laying on back) I snore like no other.

    it's not wonder I'm single :p
  10. I talk in my sleep, but little more.

Amusingly enough, my dad used to be a very close friend of Scott Falater, the Arizona sleepwalker who killed his wife.

Sorry Mike, but those really did make me laugh. Particularly the first two.

Regarding the problem - has it been happening long? When I was about 9 or 10 I had a phase of sleep walking/talking, but it didn't last too long.

    Maybe it's a temporary phase?

Otherwise, all I can suggest is you see the sleep doctor.
  12. once i sleep-walked and urinated in a closet; i was dreaming i was in the bathroom.
i have talked in my sleep occasionally, my brother says. he has too. but a couple times, when he has used the excuse of "sleep-talking", he was having severe acid flashbacks.

Mike Money: Itd be a good idea to lock up your rifle and knives if you have not already so you dont get hurt. And you might want to see your doc about it too, if its chronic, since that can be a sleep disorder.

I dont sleepwalk/talk, but my brother used to. Once he walked over to my bed, standing near my head, unzipped his pants and was about to go when my mom came rushing in (she had heard him bumping around) and led him quickly to the bathroom.

Jeez. A lot of you guys seem to be taking leaks in your sleep.

When I gotta go, I just wake up...
  15. My dad sleep talks, its pretty funny. He'll start yelling something in spanish then go back to english a minute later. I get a kick out of it atleast.

Oh yea Mike, maybe you should take that knife out of your room just as a precaution. Don't want to see you in prison anytime soon.

It has happened for years and I talk almost everynight, and walk 2 or 3 times a week.

This morning I woke up and I had taken the G string off of my jazz for some reason when i was asleep.

    Try tape recording yourself :)

It really could be interesting for you to hear what you say.

    I could imagine!

"Must kill moley... must kill... KILL..."
  19. I've slept walk/talk ever since I was a teenager. Probably the most memorable, though, was a couple weeks ago when I had a dream that I fell backwards off a cliff. As it turned out I was falling backwards- out of my bed and straight on my head. I flipped over and my foot landed against the bottom drawer of my dresser, which I unwittingly left open. I had a bruise on my foot and a sore neck that lasted over a week... ouch!

Typically I tend to sleep walk if I ate something that didn't agree with me, when something is bothering or after a gig. It seems that after gigs I take a certain amount of energy home with me and I can't relax.;)
  20. After spending a night at a hotel after a gig my drummer called me and said "Chris get up blah blah blah a bunch of important stuff like don't leave me I don't have my car." I left him. That was bad.

I don't really sleepwalk or talk but I do things sorta on auto pilot. I'll take phone calls or talk to people in person right after I have waken up and i'll forget everything or think it was a dream.
