Yo all, I have been looking around for a 5 or 6 string fretless, but ebay doesnt have what I want and Yahoo auctions have always sucked. Does anyone have any good auction sites for music instruments alone? Or perhaps guitars alone? Or, albeit, perhaps basses alone? If any of the previous three, post it right here in this thread and it would make my day. Thanks.

Try www.bassgear.com It's not an auction site. Just classified ads, and...

    ... just Bass Gear. ;)

Here's a bad boy custom for $525, new, I had asked for opinions on in a thread because I knew down the road, I be getting a fretless. Everyone who posted said it looked like a sweet deal. But, I have a fretted custom 5 going now, so I passed. Check it out (basic specs under pic) -

The reason the luthier is selling so low is because he says it has a small blemish near the bridge which I think is that little blur on the left side of the bridge (not that big dark figure in the grain). Basic specs are,

    - passive Bartolini and EMG electronics
    - ebony fingerboard with pear wood lines, (they look like frets, I know)
    - curly maple over Spanish cedar body
    - 5 piece birdseye maple/bubinga neck
    - Kahler bridge and Gotoh tuners

The luthier is the same guy who has the Bass Gear Review page, Matt Schmill. You can see more pics of it there.
