i want to use it with an avalon U5,
..create a sort of simple micro rig that'll be light enough to carry around the city..light is most important, but I'd like it if it was smallish also.
  2. Acoustic Image Focus SA.... 800 watts into 4ohms... just a few pounds, and smaller than a cigar box. Check out their site. I'm not a huge fan of the integrated heads, but the power sections are really good IMO.

I'll bet there will be a lot more on the way as switching power technology develops. A small Class D amp like this would go great with a PJB Bass Buddy!

AI Focus SA. 3 pounds, 800 watts @ 4 ohm. I had one. It's loud.

Seems like everyone gets rid of them.....why?
  16. I still got mine! I love it - get's time with both a PJ Bass Buddy or a BDDI as the preamp - driving either a Schroeder 1212, Epifani T210 or AI Contra EX cab depending on where I'm playing.

Oh my gosh that little BK class D amp looks cool. Kinda makes me warm somewhere.

Great solution for somebody wanting an active speaker.
