Does Anyone Own Both a Rosewood and Maple SR5

    If so, do you notice enough sonic difference to justify having two? Does the maple "snap" help the overall slap sound/attack? The reason that I ask is that I do love my rosewood SR5 (blue dawn!), but would love to have more of that ash/maple thing going in StingRay format, especially for slap stuff.

    So those who own both, what is the "personality" of each to you, and what can you do with the maple you can't do with the rosewood, and vice-versa.

    I have a rosewood and a maple stingray 5, I think the rosewood works well, I use the maple more cause it has a birdseye maple neck and it a little thinner then the rosewood,
    I think the sound is the same, a little brighter on the maple but not much, :bassist:

    I had them both in the four string version.

    They sounded close enough where I couldn't justify them both.
