Does anyone use the BOSS NS-2 Noise Suppressor?

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by hitman9696, Feb 8, 2002.

  1. I'm thinking about getting it, but I have to be sure it works fine with bass. My DeArmond emits a fair amount of noise and hum is my house only (lots of interference or bad wiring or something). Therefore, will it significantly reduce these annoyances? Does it alter the tone or volume of your sound? I also occasionally use the BOSS ODB-3.

  2. yeah i use it
it doesnt make any significant(is any) changes to your signal as long as you follow the instructions in the manual properly. it kind of has its own effects loop which you place all of your effects in so you get noise gate at the start and end of your effects chain, or something along those lines.
i have a dod bass chorus, boss volume pedal and ibanez bass overdrive which i put through it.
it also has a really cool mute function for when ur changing basses.
another really cool function is that it has a power supply in and out, so you can put a daisy chain on the out one.
    hope that helps.
