I wonder if the Bartolini 3-band preamp w/ 3 knobs and a 9v battery would fit inside the control cavity of a J.
I've never tried it, but since I've had several J's, and several basses with Bart 3-bands and know how big both are, I'd have to say "No". (At least, not without some routing...) Mike
Short answer... no. Not even a smaller preamp like the obp-3 will fit inside the small cavity of a regular jazz bass.
