Does Cocobolo wood darken over time?

    Yes.

    You can greatly minimize the effect by stripping as much oil out as possible with organic solvents, but that will only slow it.

  4. Unfinished coco will darken more - and more quickly - than finished coco. So a fretboard will darken more readily than (say) a finished coco drop top.

    but the darkened cocobolo dosnt look bad, it almost makes it richer and deeper in color, at least i would say so.
