Hi, I'm thinking of upgrading my bass. I'd like to replace Gotoh 201 with Hipshot A style bridge. At first, I didn't know the presence of FM1 so I was trying to buy a original A style with 4 screw holes. And asked local luthier for installation since I have terrible hand skill. But I found a Hipshot A style FM1. I don't know what is different between original A style and FM1 except screw holes. But I kind of like it. It spare some money for luthier and I don't have to make my bass holely. I'm just concern that will Hipshot A style FM1 fit perfectly with 5 screw hole for Gotoh 201? Does this require extra screwing or those crafting things? I am really really terrible at crafting.... I don't want to ruin my beloved bass. So give me advice. Help me. Thank you all and have a nice day.

The FM1 is designed to use Fender Mounting holes, but it only uses three (the center and two outermost) of the five holes.

...The Hipshor FM1 will replace your Gotoh 201 without drilling additional holes. You will gain nothing in your sound by changing bridges. Change it for looks or if your bridge is broken.

That means Hipshot FM would work totally fine with Gotoh 201 screw holes right?
