All is in the title, could i use Guitar effect pedals for bass?
Yeah, as most pedals are for both.
IT will suck a lot of your low notes down to nothing, but its something we have to deal with.
That's not necessarily true, Jordash. Some guitar pedals don't sound so hot on bass, but most of them work fine.
That said, there's absolutely no problem (99% of the time, I can't speak for every effect) using guitar pedals on bass, although bass specific pedals are usually, and this might be a shocker, so hold on to your hat, voiced for bass.
But does the guitar pedal can have a different effect than desire on the low notes?
Guitar pedals used with basses cause liver damage due to the frequency mismatch.
Yeah it can suck the low end. It depends on the pedal.
Ok so apart from sucking in low end and liver damage there is no con?
that and it sucks your willpower, not to mention your verility. I once used a guitar pedal and came out of the song wondering where to buy a cute pair of tights.
IME you have more low-end sucking from distortion and fuzz than anything else.
Also, they might make you sterile.
Nope. If you like the sound then use it. In general modulation pedals work fine and gain pedals lose low end but those are just loose guidelines.
Can you use the search function on a Mac?
