Does the MIDI connection on the new Whammy (ver 4? I think...) supply power?

I DLed the owners manual from the DT website, but it says nothing on if the MIDI conection supplies power or not.

So, does anyone here use the MIDI feature of it, and does it supply power?

    Thanks

MIDI Cables do not supply power.

On the site for the Tech 21 MIDI Mouse, it says:

  4. There actually is DC power over MIDI as part of the standard. You have only three active pins on the 5-pin MIDI cable: 2, 4, 5. 2 is the ground, 4 is +5v, and 5 is MIDI signal. Devices like the MIDI Mouse that are only driving the logic chip and a small LED unit can get by with the 5v supply. Most other gear won't. And even if it supplied enough voltage, it isn't designed to supply enough current to power a juice-hog like the Whammy!

Oh, my mistake. I never realized MIDI cables carried a voltage. Sorry about that :meh:

I was actually wondering if the Whammy would supply the MIDI Mouse...

Thanks for the other info though :D
