Does this MTD sound like a Fender?

I'm starting to wonder if Alembic and MTD chose their low impedence electronics payloads specifically to interact with construction variables.

It is very easy to white wash an instrument with most electronics options.

Does not sound like a Fender to me. Sounds closer to my active Ibanez than anything Fender.

    I can definitely hear that.

I would add, however, that an Ibanez SR can sound like a P. When the neck/mid pickup is solo'd, the mid-boost selector is in the right spot, and the active EQ is only lightly used.

So I think the bass in the clip could probably chameleon itself into a more Fendery sound, I'm just not hearing it in that example.
