    Hello ,
I saw your advert on the sale of (Modulus Quantum 6)and I'm very interested in buying it. I will like you to furnish me with the necessary details such as the price, picture and any other details that will help in this transaction.
As soon as we conclude with the pricing aspect, I'll not want you to bother about shipment, coz I have a reliable shipper on ground for shipment of all my goods. Further more, the payment method is by a valid cashier's check.
I believe you understand my interest in this business; Contact me on receipt of this mail. Thanks for your understanding.

yep, i wouldn't trust it! if the shipper is so reliable, they can bring cash when they pick up the bass, or a 3 week wait until the "cashiers check" clears......

Totally a scam. The first e-mail is a giveaway when he doesn't mention what the item is, only that it's a "perfect specification".

Yeah, I found it rather funny that there were no questions asked about the bass at all.

Needless to say, I am not even thinking about sending my full name and address, etc. to either of these idiots.

Anything that doesn't ask specific questions about the item is a scam.

I think the horrible grammar and punctuation is a dead giveaway as well. :meh:

    Definitely a scam.

Poor spelling and grammar, no mention of the item in question, request for all of your information and the use of a cashier's check all add up to a scam.

It isn't listed on Ebay. He had to have gotten if from the bassgear.com ad I have up, I think I am going to go and delete that now. I don't need this crap filling up my email.

Bassgear.com eh? I would say that upwards of 90% of the emails that I've received from posting stuff there for sale were scams. I don't post stuff there any longer.

Yep, I have it all written down here. That way he can just electronically deposit the funds right into my account and then his shipper will pick item up.:D

It has been years since I have posted anything there, and now I never will again. I didn't realize that place had become a target for these idiots as well.
  19. I haven't had one of those emails off bassgear but everytime I post something on Craigslist...bingo an email from "Jimmy"!

smells like teen spirit... and a scam
