I ordered another Sadowsky 5-24 today. This one will be Olympic White on alder, matching headstock, ebony fretboard, no dots, black hardware, reversed pan pot. Should hit town sometime in April or May. Now the wait.

  2. How long till she finds out? Haha sounds very cool!

  6. VERY cool! Now for the "blackmail" in regards to "the wife"...

Hey! Is this in celebration of a good audition? Did you go Rock or Pedal Steel? Inquiriing minds....

  7. If you can afford it, by all means... but if not... the wife should smack you.

  9. Bad Munji, BAD!! You mustn't go behind your wife on something like that. Well, maybe for a Sadowsky, but nothing else.

She'll figure it out when she gets the AMEX bill with the deposit on it.

The 5-24 club is growing. Nice one Munji.

Are taking the same approach that I am, and keeping the 25th Anniversary safely tucked away at home, but jonesing for another Sadowsky to gig with? ;)

I just need to decide if my next Sadowsky bass will be another 24F-5, a Vintage 5, or (the current leader) a P/J 5. :D

I look forward to hearing how your new bass sounds compared to your 25th Anniversary!

    Tom.

Maybe you should tell your wife that you are holding on to it for somebody so their wife doesn't find out.... :smug:

  17. I'm sure your wife just wants you to be happy. Plus, you are getting a bass that will make the MUSIC better - always a noble goal. In the end, it's really not about you - it's bigger than that. It's about making others happy with better music.

I see no issue here. I commend you for being such a selfless person.

  18. Wonder if this line of bull would work on my wife... doubtful... highly doubtful :D

  19. . . .so when your wife kills you I can get that bass? :D

I know why I get every bass I have without the fret dots, but what do you think? I think the clean board look is awesome.
