dont ya hate it when....

    i got an awesome set up done on my bass the other day. i can get some killer tones and plus its easier to fret. but the downfall is that, excpet for the part of the strings near the bridge, the strings feel flimsy and if you play em to hard they dont play right. dont ya hate that???

    perhaps the guy who set up your bass used lighter strings than you are used to. lighter strings have lower tension when tuned to pitch.

    regardless, try a heavier gauge of string - this will give a tighter feel to the instrument.
