SOLD Double Bass Project, Kay Bass Viol S5 1937 & KayBass C1 1948

    I have two upright basses I am interested in selling. Both are a project for a knowledgeable Upright bass Luthier. I'm considering having them restored, but before I do I thought I'd see if there is interested in either one of them as is.

    First I have a Kay Bass Viol S5 Swingmaster manufactured in 1937. Serial number 1195. Of the two it by far needs the most work. The fret board is gone and the neck is broken. I'm don't know a lot about these instruments so I can answer questions with help. The first 3 pictures are of this bass.

    The second is a Kay Bass C1. Serial number 18151. It probably needs some neck work but is in tacked and from what I know it needs a bridge and some refinishing. Otherwise it's in pretty good shape, I think?
    The 4th and 5th picture are of this bass.

    I will leave this post up for about a week as I am meeting with a repair professional on the 26th of Dec.
