Double thumb?

Discussion in 'Ask Michael Dimin' started by 4FaTStRInGs, Jan 14, 2002.

  1. I understand this is probably one the most frequent questions but I still don't get it...so I rely on you to explain it Michael :) ...what exactly is double thumbing? And...does anyone know if there's some book or even a lesson on the net? Thanks a bunch!

There was a fugitive on America's Most Wanted who actually had TWO THUMBS!!!

Anyway, the best "double thumbing" explanation I've seen is Vic Wooten's Bass Solo Techniques Video. I think that's the title.

    Good luck.

here is the easiest explanantion i can think of...think of your thumb as a pick, using upstrokes and downstrokes
