    I'm watching Bruce Hornsy in concert on BET Jazz, and his bassist, Doug Collier is a sick, sick man! They did a slapped, jazzy, funky version of "That's Just the Way It Is", and this guy is insane! He plays a Smith 6. Ken would hear it and be VERY proud!

    I saw him play with BH on "Austin City Limits". He's a great player and I would like to know more about him. Anybody?

    His name I believe is actually JV collier and yes he's quite good. Go buy the double live album Bruce released a couple years ago called Bring On the NoiseMakers. Great couple of CD's with a lot of JV.
