Douglas WOB 5 pickup replacement

    I have a Douglas WOB5 that I want to upgrade the pickups in. Does anyone know if the Jazz pickup is a standard Jazz neck size?

    Here is the size listed from rondo music: 3 11/16 x 3/4"

    Also, could I drop in a standard MM replacement for the humbucker?

    There are three kinds of common 5-stringed MM humbuckers. One without the three ears (EBMM style) and two with ears, one tight and one wide spacing (Lakland style). You need the one with the ears and tight spacing. People often call that OLP or import style.

    There is actually a fourth one, which uses the same route as a 4-stringed MM humbucker that some manufacturers like Bartolini will have some offerings for.

    Awesome. Thanks for the info. I will check that pickup out.

    Do you happen to know anything about the Jazz pickup? It looks shorter than most Jazz pickups

    You need to measure everything carefully. Bass pickup dimensions are rarely something you can count on.
