Down Tune?

Discussion in 'Hardware, Setup & Repair [BG]' started by LizardKing45, Oct 26, 2000.

  1. Is it possible to get the Low B on a 4 string?.. Could I put a 5 string low B on, and eliminate the G? Or would it just be really floppy?

You can do this, you might need to trim the nut slots and of course you'll have to tweak the truss rod and reintonate the bridge.
  3. umm i forgot to mention i was a beginner, and i have no idea what "tweaking the truss rod and reintonateing the bridge" is, someone wanna explain in newbie terms... thanx a lot.
  4. You can take your bass in to a store that has a good setup person and get it set up the way you like it.
