how would the 1260 slant without a tweeter do? I have a ceramic regular 1260 and a 115 with tweeter on order but marc gave me the opportunity to get a deal on one of his cabs.

    so i was thinking either:

    1260 vertical with kappalite 3012lf

    1260 slant without tweeter

or just 1260 slant either neo or ceramic.

given what i have already would one of these options be a good fit?

I highly recommend no tweeter. The DrB212V I just received last week has all the fullrange treble you need w/out the tweeter.

Tweeters just bring out the fret buzz imho. My 212V is for sale BTW in the TB classifieds

    get it slanted

get in in a vertical cab

or get it in a vertical cab with a kappalite 3012lf

It's 2.5" too tall to fit in the trunk between the wheel wells of my Towne car with my SKB 6 space rack. We just had a miscommunication on the height.

After my cab sells I'll order the exact same vertical version 2.5" shorter.

I wonder what designation Marc is going to give to my vertical 2-12 cabinet? :meh: Mine is going to have a 6 1/2" mid/high driver between the two 12" drivers in a D'Appolito configuration. :p

yeah i don't need a 212 since i already have a 1260 but i should call mark and see what he recommends

does anyone have a 1260 without tweet? im thinking it might be like greenboy's fearful 12/6. i have no building skills anyway

    I would suggest a 15/6. 8lbs or so isn't worth 6db maxspl imho :)

You know Blues Cat, you are right. Anyone looking for a 2x12 w/no tweet would be a fool to not grab yours. :D
