I play Spector with EMG DC active pickups and EMG 18 volts preamp trough this pedal.
Is it normal(picture below)to have input and output both almost to the maximum to have same volume of bass when is pedal ON or OFF?

Yes, the one I have is the same way. It's kind of a crappy pedal IMO.

The thing I find odd is the input and output jacks are the wrong way round compared to almost every other stompbox on the planet.

I return it to shop because my setup started to fart when I pulled strings with power and made strange pop when I hammered low strings when slapping.
I bought Behringer ble 100 limiter/enhancer and it works great and it was 100€ cheaper.
If it will break up I will buy Boss limiter/enhancer because Behringer is copy of Boss.
I tried Digitech bass squeeze = FARTING
    Ashdown aspirin = FARTING
    Behringer ble100 = GREAT
So If you want pro, dont bother to buy cheap compressor or limiter because, as we say in my country "more money, more music" but Behringer really surprised me.

The first version of EBS's pedals were also the wrong way around, input on the left side and output on the right.
