Dr. Strangelove is on TCM in about half an hour, if any of you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.

"Rain water and grain alcohol". :D

Gentlemen, there are one or two points I'd like to make here...

"I'm sorry, Dimitri. No, I'm sorrier than you are. Okay, I'm just as sorry as you are, Dimitri. Believe me Dimitri, I'm capable of being just as sorry as you are". - The President of the United States :D

    I love that movie.

Peter Sellers was one heck of an actor. Slim Pickens was great as the mission commander too.

Slim Pickens was definitely the great character in that movie. :)

Here's a couple more good quotes:

"With the proper ratio of females to males, say about ten to one, we could return to our current gross national product in about twenty years". :D

"Mr President, we can not allow a mine shaft gap". :D:D:D

Word. That role was supposed to be played by Peter Sellers, but he has three other roles already.

Turgidson: Mr. President, I'm not saying we wouldn't get our hair mussed. But I do say no more than ten to twenty million killed, tops. Uh, depending on the breaks

Gen. Jack D. Ripper: I can assure you it has not recurred, Mandrake. Women uh... women sense my power and they seek the life essence. I, uh... I do not avoid women, Mandrake......But I...I do deny them my essence.

Colonel Bat Guano: I think you're some kind of deviated prevert. I think General Ripper found out about your preversion, and that you were organizing some kind of mutiny of preverts. Now MOVE!

(paraphrsing) In the B-52, Slim Pickens says: "You wouldn't be human beings if you didn't have some pretty strong feelin's about Nuclear Combat!"

I'd have to say that General Ripper is one of my all-time favorite movie characters.

Awesome movie. I never get tired of it... in fact I still enjoy a Fail Safe/Dr. Strangelove double-feature.

I give the nod to Peter Sellers for triple duty, but George C. Scott is a close second.

According to the HBO bio of Peter Sellers, Sellers faked a broken leg to get out of playing the Slim Pickens role.

    Stanley Kubrick was the best.
