Does DR make a taperwound .135 lorider? i've been using nothing but stainless DR lorider's on my warwick, except the B string, which has had a warwick black label .135 B. i broke it yesterday, and all i have left are DR non-taper .125's, and i hate them. first of all, they barely fit in the tailpiece, and the .125 isn't tight enough for my tastes. so...if DR doesn't make such a thing, what other manufacturers do that would be close in sound? jason
They make a .130. DR B strings are tight as hell, tighter than any other brand I've ever tried, in fact. You might find their .130 to be tight enough.
DR does make tapered round core Hi-Beams (I've seen these at juststrings.com) and DR also makes Long Necks, which are stainless tapered hex core strings (probably more like Lo-Riders, but I haven't tried them). I don't know if DR makes a string larger than .130 gauge. I don't recall seeing anything larger than .130 on their website.
i checked the website and they said any DR dealer can get custom sets made. so i guess i'll have .45-105 loriders and a .130 longneck. but for now...i'll just order a couple individually when i make my next order (running kinda low ) jason
