Dragonfly SJ-4 Walnut body (with pau ferro fretboard) by Harry's Engineering (Japan) update.... So the new (to me) Dragonfly passed muster this past weekend. Balanced well, easy playing Jazz width neck (satin-back finish), very low action. Tone is where this bass sets it's self apart from the pack. Smooth tone that also cuts without sounding harsh. All notes up and down the fretboard rang clear and note output was very even between frets and strings. 3-band EQ with a master volume, balance and master tone (like a J or P). Master tone works in both active and passive modes. Mid-frequency switch and active/passive switch. The build quality is up there with the best of the best I've laid my hands on (including Fodera, F bass, Pedulla, etc...). I'm a very happy camper. Huge bang for the buck! Check these basses out! I highly recommend them! {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {}
Picked up a secondhand Fat P and it is amazing. The price of which was a STEAL! I need a J-style bass from Dragonfly for sure.
Pretty sure that you bought that from my local buddy, Kevin O here in Maryland, no? He's a very close friend of mine.
Small (bass) world! Yes, I have purchased two basses from Kevin in the last few months - the man has great taste!
