drawings of the fret board

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by Octave Doctor, Jul 5, 2003.

  1. Hi folks,

Do you know if there are drawings of the fret board of a bass that can be downloaded from the web somewhere? (I’m talking about line drawn images without labelling) Such a thing would be useful for students to learn the notes and scales and where they lie - (they could be asked to fill them in, take notes on them etc)

I’m sure I could make something up but I would be a lot better if they exist somewhere as a word template or pdf doc.

    Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can find something similar here: PlayTheBass.com

I'm not sure - certainly not of one you could pick and use for free. It's really just a grid, so why not draw one out (either by hand or using the table function in your word processor)?

Come to think of it, you might like Dave's site a lot better for things like this, depending on how many strings you have. Try: Dave Grosman's Site

And, if you interested in a simple learning program, have a look at Fretboard Warrior as well: Fretboard Warrior

    I like this one a lot. :)
