it's not necessarily a dream bass but at the moment I'm saving up for an ocean five stringer fretless

But I also like this Valenti 4 banger here:

*the L2000(and the f100 guitar with out the wammybar) natural sunburst.
Is there a nick name for these older L1000 basses that have the metal plate?

I am currently waiting on my dream bass! It will be a NYC Sadowsky Standard-4......Fretless! It should look something like this photo....but mine will have an ebony fretboard.

    sadowsky_fretless.

Also I always had dug the Sadowsky bass in this SWR ad from 1990
    Sadowsky3.

    Well now I own it!

Wow, check out the pickup positioning on that L2000!! That's more like a Sabre, and definitely NOT how they are on any newer one that I've ever seen.

Wish I could find one of those.

I wanted a Ken Smith for a loooong time (I've owned 5 over the years) I finally got one last week (BSR5M "Tiger Maple" with series/parallel switches). Now that I have it I think my Roscoe sounds better...... don't get me wrong, It sounds AWESOME but my Roscoe is a slap machine plus the B string is the best period. ;)

  17. Basically I want Lakland to recreate everything I've done to my Geddy on a custom JO model. Of course black with maple fretboard, with black blocks and binding, yeah yeah. Then a black guard, a front pickup cover, passive electronics with a mini-toggle switch for Series/Parallel and a mini-toggle switch for Cap/Tone Pot bypass. The only difference: Chi-Sonic pickups.

  19. Mmm, this thread had me looking back through some shoops I did a while back for the photoshop thread.

    godwouldplaythis.
This one was for myself. It basically combined everything i was fanboying over at the time.
For those of you playing at home, that is.
    A rickenbacker(headstock)
the Rainbow bass(wood a bass horn)
Zon Hyper bass(treble horn/cutout and neck)
Theres also a jazz pickup in the bridge position.

    Seems a bit excessive now.

    explorer2.
This one turned out pretty nice.
It's a white explorer with a geddy neck. I wouldn't play one of these come to think of it.
