Anyone know of production builders who offer dreamsicle (Creamsicle?) orange as a body color? Or something close? Coral/salmon/faded fiesta red would work too. I'm thinking about getting some sort of P/J or maybe P/humbucker 4-string fretted bass in this color, with a white pickguard. I think Lakland offers it but... so expensive for USA models. Ideally I would love a Fender P-Deluxe from 2007/2008 or so, with a maple neck, in this color. I think they have a tangerine metallic color - though ideally I'd prefer a more transparent non-metallic finish over ash. Picky I know Input is welcome...
Carvin just announced a P style bass. Maybe they can accommodate you. http://www.carvinguitars.com/catalog/guitars/pb4
Looking in the Carvin In-Stock instruments, I happened to notice this: Is this color close enough? http://www.carvinguitars.com/guitars-in-stock/120159
That's really pretty. What color is that? I'm also a little saddened by Fender's current lack of color offerings - I wish they would bring back stuff like this.
Hmm. I'm looking for a non-mutt... but at least I know what this finish is called now. Capri orange. Love it!
Seems you prefer non-metallic, but I love G&L's Tangerine Metallic. I've been thinking about it for an LB-100 build. http://www.glguitars.com/instruments/USA/finishes/standard/tangerine-metallic.asp
