65 yr old men wearing Jeggings and Converse All Stars Somehow that immediately sets the stage for a crappy band. Mick can still get away with it...but not local band dudes. lol what say you?
if i dressed my age, i'd be wearing sweaters and calf length grandma dresses and wearing an apron. i doubt that would go well with the punk, metal and alt i play - or anything else. btw, i've seen some great bands where the guys didn't "dress their age". i don't think it would go over well if some guys rocking hard wore high water, high waisted slacks, undershirts with short sleeved casual business shirts tucked into their slacks.
Aren't 65 year old's more qualified to wear Converse than the younguns? But for real, i have no problem with people dressing stylishly, no matter the age. Alot of my jazz role models are older dudes and still trying to keep it GQ.
come to think of it, converse all stars have been around for 100 years. not sure that counts as a younger person style. "...the very first version of the All Star basketball shoe was produced in 1917. The All Star shoe originally came in natural brown colors with black trim." and chuck taylor was a basketball player in the 1920s.
Teens are only wearing converse because vintage is trending for now. Converse is fine for oldies. Old shoes for old people
Teens have moved onto Nike Air Jordan's & Van's. Converse Chucks are all our's again. As far as what to wear, wear what's comfortable and what makes you feel confident. Geddy does.
My main concern is that I'm going to ruin the finish on my bass where I keep hitting my walker with it.
Father: "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Child: "I want to be a musician" Father: "Make up your mind, you can't do both"
Why would I care about what some dude wears on stage? If they can play, they can wear whatever they like...
