Drilling new strap peg position on axe

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Gut_Implosion, May 25, 2004.

  1. This question isn't actually about my basses, but actually about my Washburn Dime. Anyone whos played a dime obviousley knows the unavoidable neck-dive. I know that Dimebag and pretty much anyone who uses this guitar profesionally has the strap positioned behind the neck heel.

So I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I should go about drilling a new hole for a strap peg in the neck heel, preferably without fuqueing up my axe and/or splitting the wood or something.

I've never attempted to stick a drill into any of my instruments, so Im a bit :meh: about doing it.
