Drive a 4 ohm Acme B2 with a GK1001RB?

    Has anyone tried this? From what I've heard the GK's 540 watts at 4 ohms might be marginal, but amp power ratings vary, right?

    It should be OK. Acme deliberately sacrifice efficiency in favour of frequence response. In otheer words, they go low because they aren't that loud. So you need to pump a lot of watts into them. Their website says thet 500w is idea for this cab, even though it's rated at 350W.

    sometimes, for rehearsals, i'd drive my Acme with my wee lil' EA iAMP350 or WT400. even with the master down around 12:00, still sounded great to me.
