    I'd check it with the truss rod wrench. If it turns too freely and does not tighten up you will know. Bent pots should not be too big of a hassle to straighten out. just go slow.

  5. I feel your pain, though not nearly as bad; my Stambaugh 6 went down in a high wind on a late-afternoon outdoor gig. Face-first, onto a carpet(thank GOD)- it appeared fine but I found out later that it impacted the B-string tuner(a Hipshot detuner). The string stayed in tune but the tuner no longer tuned or 'detuned'. Chris(Stambaugh)was very cool in helping me snag a replacement- at his cost. :cool:
