Dropping D With a Korg GA-30

Discussion in 'General Instruction [BG]' started by grimacingreaper, Nov 6, 2005.

  1. help i have looked everywhere for help with dropping d on my tuner and have got nowhere! i cant do it by ear because i am a newbie and tone deaf! :crying: my tuner is a Korg Ga-30 and i heard that pressing the flat button does something but i didnt know if this was true. thanx
  2. I don't know your tuner, but with mine, I press the flat button two time so when I play E, it wants to hear 1 full step down (D). If that doesn't work for you, learn to use your ears. To do it without the tuner play the 5th fret on the A-string (which is the not D) and the open E string at the same time. Slowly detune the E-string until they match (I'm not so sure how to explain that part). Good luck!
  3. Yay you were correct thanx for all the help!
