Drum machine

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by CaptainHueso, Aug 29, 2005.

  1. I've considered getting a drum machine for practice purposes. I have a nice metronome, but I've been reading a book titled "Funk Bass" which is actually really helpful. It suggests practicing with a drum machine to expand groove possibilities and aid in giving ideas for funk lines. I know nothing about them. I'd like for it to be programmable so my drummer could fiddle with it and program some beats for me to practice with. Can anybody help me figure out which ones are worth looking and and which ones are duds? I'd rather not spend too much (100-200 max).
  2. you want an alesis sr16. :)

    real time loop record
footswitch input for tap tempo and start/stop

c/w 100 preset patterns and 100 preset fills
    sounds classic and fat
    less than $120 on ebay
