Hey guys we just got DSL about two weeks ago! At first it was very fast and snappy! But the last few days it seems to think about the page before it opens it! The page still loads very fast when it finally does it but just seems to pause for a few seconds before starting to load? Any ideas what this might be?

My DSL gets sluggish when I haven't restarted my router in a while.

Did you load some proprietary programs onto your computer in order to run the DSL? If not I'd do some spyware scans with adaware and spybot or something similar.

watch out with some of the generic spyware apps. some are actually spyware themselves, which will turn into extortionware. you pay them dollars, and "maybe" it will be removed. use spybot/hijackthis/adaware. I stick with those, not even MS's spyware app.

If it's running faster now then great.

Almost all of the "slow internet" type problems I've ever had have had something to do with spyware or some kind of software.

Reboot the router. If that doesn't do it, reboot your machine and your router.
