I love jazzes and I really love the finish on this one. I've never seen it before though. Was it a limited run they did that year? I could however do without the ash trays.:spit: :D

    Repulsive. 'Nuff said.

  5. Very cool, yet in some ways still ugly:confused: . As long as it sounds good, it is awesome. I would definately take it, but it doesn't mean that I would be brave enough to play it in front of others!

I dig the Antigua finish, but he's insane if he thinks he is going to have any bites with a $2000 opening bid.

  8. i can't stand that finish. and i don't like pearl block inlays; at all. :spit: i like that bass about as much as you like the Gwar bass. :D

    I like the antigua finish.

I agree that his price is high though.....

  10. I hate the Antigua finish, and $2000 for a '78 Jazz is ridiculous.

    wow, that's a lot for a 78 j-bass. i dig the antigua finish, but still, that's a lot. man, i have a 78 jazz bass. hmm.

  12. It would be cooler at half the price. Even cooler if it was cheaper than that.

This is weird, I saw a picture of another Antigua one a while back, and the green was a lot darker and faded into an orangeish colour.

Very cool! However, I wouldn't pay anywhere close to that price.

Antigua Jazzs are much harder to come by that Antigua P's which have been selling in the $1,300 +/- price range and while I wouldn't pay $2,000 for it I'd bet this guy would (missing Jazz).
