Im looking for some strings that are not bright. I really like the feel of roundwounds and i really love the tone of them after about a month when that bright sound has gone. was wondering if there was a roundwound that has around that same sound new? I haven't tried half wounds or whatever they are called yet. I love the tone of flatwounds but so much the feel and slides sound a bit weird to me.

So, you like the sound of dead strings. Me too. To me, all roundwounds are zingy. I have yet to find a set that aren't. I think you're probably going to have to just forget about changing strings very often. :crying: More GAS money for you, though.:D

Elixirs are a good choice, but they lack the feel of the Rounds IMO - they're smooth and fast to play on.

I like them though...not really bright, which is great for me...
