dumb bass head question

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by patriotslayer, Mar 27, 2003.

  1. can the g/k 400 rb be plugged into 2 cabs? or is it the cab that has the connection? i havent been able to play or seen one that wasnt on the internet. i know the backline 250 head cant be but isnt loud and probably dooesnt have enough power to play threw 2 cabs.
  2. Yes, I'm pretty sure the 400rb has the ability to run two cabs. It's rated at something like 240 watts at 4 ohms an 150 watts at 4. You can run two 8 ohm cabs to get a 4 ohm load and pull 240 watts out of the head, or pull 150 out with one 8 ohm cab. Due to the power of the head you'd get more headroom by using 2 cabs in which you'd need an 8 ohm version.
  3. thank you. im ganna test it soon and if it sounds good all probably get it.

I'd wait for the new 400RB to come out first.

As for the Backline 250BL head not being loud, for the wattage I must say I think it is quite loud.
  5. its only 120w i had on but just sold it. i liked the sound but not out of a 4x10. i want to gt th 400rb a 2x10 ans a 15. probably avatar.
