Dunlop Super Brights on Medium Scale?

    I have a set of SB's lying around that I'm thinking about putting on my 32" scale ABG. Is this not a good idea? I've used other long scale strings and they've been fine but I remember reading that someone here broke a bunch of the these on a medium scale bass.

    Could work but you will probably have the full windings wrapped around the tuning post which could increase break potential.

    Actually I tried putting an old set on today. The E string snapped at the tuning post which is exactly what happened to the other guy that tried this. Here's hoping Dunlop comes out with a medium scale set.
