I use the same gauge. Try Elixir nanoweb strings. THey are a litlte more expensive but last several months.

Black Diamond coated strings. Great tone that last me 3-4 months with ease, and thats playing with a pick which hurts the coating. They are about $40-50 a set depending on 4-5 string. Bassguitarstrings.us carries them, check them out.

I also wanted to add that I use a 5 string set on a 4 stringer. I have had them tuned from low A up to standard for a 4 string with no problems. Plus, I haven't broken one yet!
