Durst needed all the attitude he could muster to make up for the Bizkit's limp set. "We got a new album coming out in this fall," he said at one point. "It's gonna suck, so do yourself a favour and don't pick it up."

    No, not really....just the album sales alone won't make much money, especially if people take his advice and don't buy it. If they do some agressive touring and merch. THEN it will make him a lot of money, but just the album alone isn't worth that much in his pocket.

    I think people are reading a little too deeply into FD's quote. Isn't this just the same old Generation Y apathy that these nu metal guys need to balance out their machismo.

    neptoon is right, this guy stole the quote from Peter Steele, he's trying to be sarcastic.

    Oh, the irony...:D

    I'm just waiting for one of these cute little statements to come back and bite the speaker in the ass, whether it be Freddy D's "It's gonna suck so don't buy it" or System of a Down naming their album "Steal This Album" or any other Abbie Hoffman ripoff... Oh, and can somebody explain the Peter Steele thing?

    I think you got it right there. Primus used to do this until it wasn't cool anymore, but it used to be cool to think you suck. I think he just wants to be the cool guy saying he sucks when he really thinks he's great.
