Dusty Hills Reverse Tele!!

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by FL Knifemaker, Feb 24, 2008.

  1. Did anyone see the NASCAR pre race show a little while ago?? Dusty was playing a COOOOOL black, reversed Tele style bass. Very custom looking and very COOOOOOL

Anyone have any pics or info on it??
  2. I just found this pic. It looked just like this only in black. I think I wants to order the Warmoth parts to make me one :bassist:

It's a custom for sure, it had right handed controls. Also, the pickups looked like the Guild humbuckers they used after ditching the bi-sonics. I think they're called Goldtone Humbuckers?

last i knew he had custom basses made for him by a company called Bolin.

don't know anything else, other than Bolin also does basses for Kathy Valentine of the Go-Go's.

Yep, those are the Guild/DeArmond Gold Tone humbuckers alright.
  18. Thats IT!! I love the way that bass looks!! It looks like a Jazz width neck. Damn he has some short, stubby fingers  :p
  19. Never stopped anyone from playing a wicked bassline, now has it!? ;) Cool axe!

I noticed the pickups too. I have a set of those laying around that I took out of a D'Armond Starfire bass. I think I know what to do with them now.........
