Thanks to Harry Monkley for alerting TBers to Functional Ear Trainer software. It's free, it's fun, and it's addictive, especially when you're traveling without a bass. Free ear training tools for musicians

I found Harry's post while browsing the Music Theory forum over on the DB side, specifically Ant Illington's thread entitled Ear Training. The entire thread is interesting, including comments from Steve Freides. I mention it here because I'm not sure all the BG TBers browse the DB side. Check it out.

I don't consider myself a gadget person, but I do like Transcribe, iReal Pro, Sibelius First, Audacity, and now Functional Ear Trainer. I'm still trying to embrace the singing thing. I know it would help me. Same with yoga.
