Just received this bass on a trade:
This is an absolutely incredible Tobias Growler bass. Made in the USA. It features a Bartolini MM pickup and accompanying 18v 3-band preamp, series and coil-tap switches. It also has a wenge fretboard on a maple 3-piece neck, a brass bridge, and Grover tuners. The action is so low that the bass practically plays itself. It has tons of tones... From growl, snarl, and grind to snap, sizzle, and bite with tons of booty to boot! Think stingray on steroids with more tonal flexibility... Monstrous slap tones as well! As far as I am concerned, all it is really missing is a B-string which is also why I am selling it. Comes with a deluxe padded Tobias gig-bag (by TKL). There is some belt-buckle rash on the back but nothing that really goes through the finish. There is some checking at the bottom strap button (see pictures). Asking $775 shipped to the 48 only. Can do paypal (Preferred method: I'm verified) or money order. Will also consider trades of 5-string basses, preamps/DI boxes (+Cash), etc. *edit* There is some smudging visible in the picture of the front of the bass in this post... It is only flash and finger prints. ;)

As far as basses go, I'm only really intersted in 5+ string basses. Sorry xhawk... :( ;)

    And PM returned Guru... :)

OK, some long shots but some other items of interest include but are not limited to:
Avalon U5, Radial JDI, SWR California Blonde, Warwick Corvette Standard 5's (preferrably w/ wenge neck and fingerboard), maybe consiering digital 8-track recorders, etc. Keep those offers coming! ;)

It has 18v electronics not 9v as previously mentioned. It also has the name "Keith" carved crudely into the inside of the cavity's edge (as partially seen under the battery, but not visible when the back cover is screwed in).
    ;)
