SOLD Early Demeter VTBP-201 DBL Preamp

    For sale is one of the original classic Demeter VTBP-201 tube bass preamps. This one is a "DBL" version which contains an optional Jensen transformer. The case is a bit beat up but the electronics inside are clean. Everything is 100% functional. I'm not sure the exact date on this but I talked to one of the guys at Demeter and he said it's among the first few runs. Probably early 90s.

    $420 shipped to the lower 48 only. Paypal or USPS MO. Trades I might be interested in are high quality direct boxes.

    Inside. Not sure what I have installed for tubes. Might be new tung-sol, sovtek, JJ or a mix of those.

    Bump for price drop. I popped the lid last night to check the tubes: 2 new tung-sol 12ax7.

    A bump for Metron, and I just wanted to tell anyone looking at this that I also have a very similar early 201 that I just sent back to the Demeter factory and had them instal an internal Mini800D class d power amp.
    It is now the most awesome class d head on the planet and still a great pre and di.
    If you are in the market for a lightweight class d head, dont be afraid to buy a 201 (or this 201) and send it back for retrofit.

    Thanks MVE. Yeah the guy I spoke with at Demeter said they could retrofit their new amp into one of these. Pretty cool!
