    Hello,

I am seriously considering acquiring a hollow body or short scale bass. Eastwood basses seem to be reasonably priced and their website has some neat sound clips of the Classic 4 & Club bass:

Does anybody have an opinion or direct experience with either of those basses? Please share your comments and criticisms about their playability, sound, and construction.

Thank you all for your help in this matter!

I've got the Classic 4 in walnut, and it's my main bass. I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed, so long as you slap some flats on that thing IMMEDIATELY.

Build quality isn't spectacular- certainly not bad, though- but the feel and tone are perfect for me. My only complaint is it seems to have a slightly lower output than some of my other basses. Still, it's an immensely sexy bass, especially for the price.

By the way, I don't think you can link directly to one of the models on the Eastwood site. It's all the same page.

In if anyone was interested, Mike from MyRareGuitar.com said the basses on the video clips were recorded thru a direct box.

That's pretty impressive! I thought they sounded great.

Bumping this old thread since I've been looking at Eastwoods lately -- great looking basses but have never been able to experience one. Saw Ed Friedland's review on youtube of the Classic 4 and EBO which was cool.

    Anyone here have/use Eastwood basses?

I've got the Eastwood EEB-1 in lefty, I think they dropped the lefty but still carry the righty. It's a great bass, plays nicely, sounds like a P-Bass with more bottom.

Yea, get some flat wounds on it, I found it a great looking gtr, plays well, set up will prove a little tricky as the floating saddle make intonation a bit of a night mare but for the price it’s a good buy! I got the classic 4 in white…
